Create Visitor Groups in code

I'm looking for examples or documentation on creating Visitor Groups in code. I want to be able to do something like this:

var testGroup = new VisitorGroup{ Name = "My Test"};
var vistorGroupStore = new VisitorGroupStore();
vistorGroupStore.Save(testGroup);

I'd like to be able to specify some criteria as well....
