Logged out when switching sites

Hi

Right now I have 2 sites setup but I can only login on one of them. When i try to login or edit on the second site I get redirected back to the login page (but I'm logged in on site 1). It seems like the login session/cookie is only valid for one of the site.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Is it on IIS, IIS Express or Casini?
Have you checked that there are different url in sitesettings?

It's running on IIS, what I can see the siteHosts in EPiServerFramework.config / Site information are the same as thoose who are binded in IIS. Are their any more site settings that I'm missing?

It should work.
What happens if you try to open them in two different incognito-windows (private-window) to be sure they not sharing Session in any way?

If I try to login in incognito-mode (site 2) I still get redirected to the login page.

The two sites are on two completely different domains are they? Guess you loose the session cookie between those domains?

Also, are you shoing information on site2 from site1?

First. is it always site 2 that is not working. I mean for example, if you "kill" site one, can you login to site 2?

Thank you all for your help, it seems that their are other factors involved for not working. I'be been trying to access the site with IE 10 from a Citrix session. And when I tried another site that I know works it seems to give me the same error.

Then i managed to run the site from another server and I got it to work!

So thank you again for trying to help!

Good to know. Citrix can be a evil thing.... :-)

Hi,

I have a similar problem.

AlloyTech website: http://www.dcaric.com/ew-images/20140516/alloy.png

Real website: http://www.dcaric.com/ew-images/20140516/test.png

I'm running both websites in Cassini.

If I open both websites in Google Chrome (same window, two tabs), and I log in to "real" website, when I go to AlloyTech website, I'm logged in as a user from "real" website.

I don't have that problem if I view them in different browsers.

I checked the Session Storage in Google Chrome dev tools, but it doesn't contain user id / username of currently logged in user.

Is there a quick fix?

Thanks!

edit: Cookies -> localhost -> .EPiServerLogin is the same for both websites. It doesn't take a port number into account.
