MVC Areas

Has anyone tried to utilize Areas in their MVC project with EP7? I've been able to register a controller and page type in my area, but EPiServer won't recognize the route and tries to only look in my root Views folder.

Would Area support be supported in the future?

And if that is the case, when?

What other alternatives do you suggest besides providing a customized ViewEngine for that? It seems like an overkill.

Could you please provide a sample site with Areas, including Pages, Blocks, shared views, etc.
