Cms7 iis in classic mode

we have old Episerver 6 running in classic mode iis. we are upgrading to to Episerver 7.

my question is can episerver 7 in classic mode ? is it prefered to work on Integrated ?

Prefered with integrated mode? Definitely...Possible with classic mode? Probably but I haven't tried it myself though. Seems like a nice time to upgrade to IIS 7+ at the same time...

I agree, you should run Integrated mode.

I prefer to set this to true to get help to avoid unnecessary stuff in my Web.config:

<system.webServer>
      <validation validateIntegratedModeConfiguration="true" />
