Catalog Search With Wildcards

Is it possible to search for a product with an expression like these:

  • %search_term%
  • 8*search_term*

I'm currently not able to find products that contains a word sequence like 'pock' in 'pocket' but I'm able to find 'pocket' in 'pocket'. I've been looking this documentation:

But nothing shown in those examples work.
